Hohyun Yoon

I am the postdoctoral fellow at the Christopher H. Browne Center for International Relations at the University of Pennsylvania. I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2024.

I specialize in International Relations with a focus on leader psychology and signaling. My dissertation investigates how leaders’ public expressions of anger during foreign policy crises shape bargaining dynamics, using both observational and experimental data. I am also broadly interested in international security, cooperation, and alliances. My work has been published or accepted at the American Journal of Political Science and Journal of Conflict Resolution.
